A single woman living in Mayo, Ireland in the year 1530, Grainne operates a small mercantile. She does not really need to work, because her father and several brothers are involved in marine acquisitions (the family thinks that the term "pirate" has a dirty connotation and does not use it). In the SCA, Grainne is the percussionist for the Bhakhaili Branslers. She participates in the Iron Bog cooks guild and dabbles in calligraphy. She also likes to make garb and is proud to be a founding member of House Mo-Ran.
